A couple of years after finishing the interior redesign of “In the Country” at Tyddyn Llwydyn the owners asked myself and Nick from Tex Decor to return to renovate an old dairy barn into a brand new entertainment and leisure space (some call the party barn!) This flexible space includes a gym, showers and changing room a cinema area with surround sound system and comfy seating and a bar area. We also added a bespoke oak framed outdoor dining and seating area with a BBQ and Pizza Oven so guests can cook up a storm outside what ever the weather.
The design reflects the heritage of the building and we used plenty of recycled and repurposed materials from the old farm buildings and farmhouse. An old Crittall door that became an automated bar hatch, and a window was transformed into a mirror. The wriggly tin used to clad the showers was salvaged from the old roof. The kitchen area has a bespoke moveable island clad in more tin and beautiful reclaimed floorboards.
Working together with Tex Décor ( Nick Clayton) who undertook the project management for the technical and building side of the project whilst Another Coast took care of all things design. We put together a fabulous team of local skilled trades people and suppliers who helped create this wonderful addition to this beautiful rural escape.
